It means my work schedule is changing due to people leaving for school…This means that I won’t be able to hit up saturday raids! I’ll only be raiding Wednesday nights and Sunday clean ups for awhile,and this bothers me. I want to contribute as much as I can to my guild, and raiding won’t be the best way. So expect to hear about some wild farming sessions and my experience with the Auction house. I’ll be stocking up the G bank and leveling my Alliance toons! Woohoo!

Things are a bit rough though…I’ve been leveling horde toons for years and it seems to flow a lot better than leveling Alliance. Perhaps this is a personal problem, but I’m hoping that Cataclysm will fix this and make old world more like Outlands and Northrend. This will most likely be my last toon to see current Azeroth, which is sad. I’ll always remember the Old world as we know it now, but I’ll welcome the revamp with open arms!

My Gnome will be the host of a mining related money making guide, Look out for that! Also, I would like some feedback and some requests as to what you would like to see videos of, Raiding? How to’s? Instance farming? Let me know.

If you haven’t found out by now that I’m an alt lover, you should realize it now! I’ll be trying to level my Dwarf Warrior for now, I also have a level 39 warlock on my Alliance realm, but I have another on Horde which I enjoy playing more…See! There it is! Horde appeals to me more than alliance, yet I long to play Alliance! Curse my twisted ways!

Anyways, I’ll keep you up to date on my Alliance leveling. My warrior is level 15 so far, I’d like to see 30 soon. Berserker stance ftw!

In other news, My mage hit 70 the other night. I’m working on her tailoring and enchanting, Which is quite frustrating. The price of netherweave is outrageous, I may have to farm it all…On the plus side, She is getting closer to 80, but I’m not too thrilled with the concept of raiding with her. Maybe I will be later, but other than heroics, I don’t think she’ll see Ulduar or Icecrown..This may change later on, but I’m currently enjoying raiding with my Hunter.

I’ve been playing hunters for as long as I can remember. I’ve never really noticed how much I enjoy the hunter class, but I see a Worgen hunter in my future! I’ll have to make a Hunters Catagory and discuss Hunter related content.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

I don’t know about you guys, but I am excited for this expansion. If you followed Blizzcon, They announced the new expansion and talked about it’s features. Level cap raised to 85, Worgen and Goblins, Azeroth destroyed and revamped, Path of the titans, Guild leveling, Archaeology and more.

Now that they have annouced a new expansion, The “What now” factor has kicked in for a few people. People begin their boredom trips and start playing less or raiding less. The opposite has affected me. I’m prepping for the expansion. How? Well, I’ll explain.

I’ve played horde and alliance, but my alliance are scattered on different realms, but my horde realm happens to have 8 horde toons. I have my 80 hunter there, along with my five level 60+ alts. Now, With a goblin and a Worgen on that realm, I’ll be character capped. So, my solution is to pick a realm to exclusively play alliance on. Picking a realm has been a tough thing, I still haven’t decided. My realm is full of raiding level 80′s and quite a few hardcore guilds. I don’t need to go to some realm that will leave me pugging through the new cross server PUG system for everything. Once I picked my server, I’ll be either rolling a toon and leveling it to 80 and gathering Heirloom items, or I’ll wait and Faction change later on. I’m absolutely in love with Worgen already. There’s a lot of hate on them, but they are bad ass, in my honest opinion. I’ll also have a Goblin, They are equally as cool, I mean, come on, Who doesn’t want a Goblin engineer running around Dalaran shooting off fireworks and laughing loudly!? Anyways, I better get back to realm searching/planning!

Quick Update: My Mage that was mentioned in my first posts is currently level 67 almost 68 and will be heading into Northrend shortly! I’ve been leveling her very slowly, just as a break from raiding and such. Once she reaches 80, I’ll work on some Class posts about Hunters and Mages! I’ll get to the rest too, once I get my alts to 80.

The first thing you need in real life is a source of an income, This normally comes from a job. So, In WoW what is your “job” ? Well, That’s the first thing that you should establish.  There are many sources of income in WoW. Whether it’s farming cloth and selling it in the auction house, or selling epics that you crafted. The methods are endless, but you have to find which ones will work for you and your realm. Now, if you don’t have the correct mindset of making the actual gold, you can’t expect to afford any of the things on your wishlist.

Think about it, If you work for 5 hours and make $8 an hour. Your net pay is $40. Over a week that will be $280. Now if you are level 80, It’s incredibly easy to make 8g an hour. Some people net anywhere from 100-800g an hour. Now if you make 250g an hour, and farm an hour a night and play everyday for a week, that is 1750g. Now, That’s pretty casual money making. This mentality is slow and steady, It works well and will get you what you need, It just takes time. In a later post, I’ll discuss how exactly to make 250+ gold an hour, but this post is about the hows and whys.

The next way of going about making gold is the A little bit of everything approach. This works best if you don’t enjoy spending a lot of time in one zone or doing one thing. Some nights, I will feel like herbing and after getting a few stacks of herbs, I’ll head to my favorite fishing spots. I’ll do a few dailies too. Really with this mindset you don’t do anything in a large scale but many small scale projects. This can be less efficient and less profitable, but it keeps things fresh.

The final mindset that a lot of people utilize is the Monopoly style of things. This normally requires time and patience and is done in large scale. You’ll normally recognize single names on the auction house, This is normally because they tend to control a certain market. These people normally have large sums of gold, and I cannot comment too much on this because it can be very in-depth and complicated.

So now that you’ve heard some of the different approaches, You have to decide which fits your play style. Also a very important thing to remember is incredibly basic, but will bring you plenty of gold–Only use your income for your absolute needs. Once you have excess gold that’s when you can go ahead and spend it leisurely.
